The prescription containing a prescription for medicinal products indicates, so that these medicinal products can be reimbursed by a health insurance organisation, for each of the medicinal products prescribed:
1° The dosage ;
2° Either the duration of treatment or, where the prescription includes the name of the medicinal product within the meaning of article R. 5121-2, the number of packaging units.
However, if one or other of the details provided for in 1° and 2°, or both, are missing, the medicinal product may be reimbursed if the pharmacist dispenses the number of units of packaging corresponding to the patient’s needs after obtaining the prescriber’s agreement, which he expressly mentions on the prescription. When the medicinal product is not subject to the provisions of article R. 5132-3, it may be reimbursed without the prescriber’s agreement if the pharmacist dispenses either the number of packaging units shown on the prescription, subject to dispensing the marketed packaging with the lowest number of dosage units, or, if the number of packaging units is not shown on the prescription, the packaging with the lowest number of dosage units among the marketed packaging.
