I.-The surface area, layout, arrangement and equipment of a pharmacy’s premises are appropriate to its activities and enable compliance with the good practices referred to in Article L. 5121-5.
The pharmacy’s premises are subject to the provisions of Articles L. 161-1 and L. 162-1 of the French Construction and Housing Code, unless they benefit from an exemption under Article L. 164-3 of the same code, or if they are located in a territory governed by the provisions of articles LO 6214-3, LO 6314-3 and LO 6414-1 of the General Local Authorities Code.
The premises of the pharmacy form a single unit, including the specialised activities of opticians, audioprosthetists and orthopaedics.
Storage areas may, however, be located close to the dispensary, within the boundaries of the area in which it is located, as referred to in article L. 5125-3-1 of this Code, provided that they are not open to the public and do not include any signage or external display window.
There is no direct communication between the dispensary and any other professional or commercial premises.
Pharmaceutical furniture is arranged in such a way that the public has no direct access to medicines or other products the sale of which is reserved for pharmacies.
The medicinal products for officinal use mentioned in article R. 5121-202 may be presented to the public for direct access under the conditions set out in article R. 4235-55. Pregnancy tests and ovulation tests may also be presented to the public for direct access, under the same conditions.
When deliveries are planned outside opening hours, the pharmacy is arranged in such a way as to allow the medicines and other products delivered to be isolated.
II – The annex to a pharmacy located within an airport, as provided for in article L. 5125-7-1, is subject to the provisions of the first, second, third, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth paragraphs of this article.
