Article R5127-4 of the French Public Health Code

Except in the cases provided for in article R. 5127-13, a sample consists of three samples, one left with the owner or holder of the product, the second destined for the laboratory competent to carry out the analyses and the third retained by the agent who took the sample.

Sauf dans les cas prévus à l’article R. 5127-13, un prélèvement comporte trois échantillons, l’un laissé au propriétaire ou détenteur du produit, le deuxième destiné au laboratoire compétent pour procéder aux analyses et le troisième conservé par l’agent ayant effectué le prélèvement.
