Tattoo products are rendered sterile using appropriate processes. They are supplied in a container which retains sterility until use.
Multiple dose containers are authorised provided that the delivery of each dose does not compromise the sterility of the product remaining in the container, a dose being defined as the quantity of product used for a single person during a single session.
The quality of the colouring substances complies with that laid down in the order referred to inArticle 2 of Decree no. 89-674 of 18 September 1989 or, failing this, with a national monograph or other specifications allowing an equivalent or higher level of quality.
The quality of the containers and that of the substances other than colouring substances comply with the monographs of the European pharmacopoeia mentioned in Article L. 5112-1 or, failing this, with a national monograph or other specifications allowing an equivalent or higher level of quality.
