I.- All proprietary medicinal products for human use containing micro-organisms or toxins are prescribed in accordance with the conditions set out in articles R. 5132-3 and R. 5132-4. A prescription may not be made for a treatment period exceeding twelve months.
II – Pharmacists dispense proprietary medicinal products for human use containing micro-organisms or toxins under the conditions set out in article R. 5132-6.
Pharmacists are only authorised to dispense these medicinal products for the first time on presentation of a prescription that is less than three months old.
They may not dispense on a single occasion a quantity of medicinal products corresponding to a treatment period of more than four weeks or a thirty-day month, depending on the packaging.
However, medicines packaged for a treatment period of more than one month may be dispensed for this period, up to a maximum of three months.
After dispensing, the prescription or order form must bear:
1° The pharmacy stamp;
2° The registration number(s) provided for in article R. 5139-31;
3° The dispensing date;
4° The quantities dispensed in units;
5° Where applicable, the information provided for in the first paragraph of article R. 5125-53.
A copy of the prescription bearing the particulars provided for in this article is kept for ten years by the persons authorised to dispense the medicinal products in order to be produced at the request of any supervisory authority.
III – The supply of proprietary medicinal products for human use containing micro-organisms or toxins may only be renewed with a written indication from the prescribing doctor specifying the number of renewals or the duration of treatment.
A medicinal product may only be renewed after a specified period of time depending on the dosage and quantities previously dispensed.
In all cases, the renewal(s) may only be carried out within the treatment period, which may not exceed twelve months.
The information provided for in II of this article shall be included on the prescription in the event of a renewal.
Doctors authorised to dispense medicinal products are subject to the obligations imposed on pharmacists for the dispensing of medicinal products described in this section.
