I.- Medicinal products covered by the regulations on poisonous substances and containing substances mentioned in 7°, 8° or 9° of article L. 5132-2 are used in veterinary medicine in compliance with good practices defined by order of the ministers responsible for agriculture and health. These good practices set out :
1° The medicinal products concerned and their route of administration ;
2° The animal species concerned;
3° The conditions and procedures for storing, reconstituting, preparing, administering and disposing of these medicinal products and their associated waste;
4° Requirements relating to veterinary care establishments where operations relating to these medicinal products are likely to be carried out.
II – The intention to use the medicinal products defined in I of this article in veterinary medicine is subject to a prior declaration. This declaration is made :
1° By the veterinary surgeons using the medicinal products to the regional council of the order of veterinary surgeons to which they belong ;
2° In the case of national veterinary schools, by their director, to the regional council of the order of veterinary surgeons for the department in which the school is located.
This declaration must state the identity of the veterinary surgeon using the equipment and the address where the equipment is to be used. It shall be accompanied by the user veterinarian’s undertaking to comply with the good practices mentioned in this article.
In the event of cessation of use of the medicinal products mentioned in this article, the user veterinarian or the director, as the case may be, shall inform the regional veterinary council to which the declaration was addressed.
