Article R5142-52 of the French Public Health Code

A veterinary pharmaceutical establishment mentioned in article R. 5142-1 engaged in the wholesale, free transfer or wholesale distribution of veterinary medicinal products must have an emergency plan which guarantees the effective implementation of any withdrawal of batches of these medicinal products organised by the operator.

This obligation applies under the same conditions to establishments engaged in the wholesale, free transfer or wholesale distribution of veterinary medicinal products undergoing clinical trials or the distribution of medicated feed, the withdrawal of which is organised by the manufacturer or importer.

Un établissement pharmaceutique vétérinaire mentionné à l’article R. 5142-1 se livrant à la vente en gros, à la cession à titre gratuit ou à la distribution en gros de médicaments vétérinaires se dote d’un plan d’urgence qui garantit la mise en oeuvre effective de tout retrait de lots de ces médicaments organisé par l’exploitant.

Cette obligation s’impose dans les mêmes conditions aux établissements se livrant à la vente en gros, à la cession à titre gratuit ou à la distribution en gros de médicaments vétérinaires soumis à des essais cliniques ou à la distribution d’aliments médicamenteux, dont le retrait est organisé par le fabricant ou l’importateur.
