Article R53-21-11 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Any person whose identity is entered in the register may ask the public prosecutor to order the rectification or deletion of information concerning them if the information is not accurate or if the legal conditions for its retention are no longer met.

The competent public prosecutor is the one who made the recording or that of the court to which the judicial authority that made the recording belongs. If the court is a court of appeal, the competent public prosecutor is that of the seat of the court of appeal.

Toute personne dont l’identité est inscrite dans le répertoire peut demander au procureur de la République d’ordonner la rectification ou l’effacement des informations la concernant si les informations ne sont pas exactes ou si les conditions légales de leur conservation ne sont plus remplies.


Le procureur de la République compétent est celui ayant procédé à l’enregistrement ou celui de la juridiction à laquelle appartient l’autorité judiciaire ayant procédé à l’enregistrement. Dans l’hypothèse où la juridiction est une cour d’appel, le procureur de la République compétent est celui du siège de la cour d’appel.
