Article R53-29 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If the liberty and custody judge authorises the person to be heard without his or her identity appearing in the proceedings, that person shall be given a serial number which shall be entered on the separate file and in the register provided for in the second paragraph of article 706-58.

The record of the hearing of the person and the record provided for in the second paragraph of Article 706-58, which must be placed in the separate file, shall mention the serial number assigned to the person.

Si le juge des libertés et de la détention autorise que la personne soit entendue sans que son identité apparaisse dans la procédure, il est attribué à cette personne un numéro d’ordre qui sera inscrit sur le dossier distinct et dans le registre prévus par le deuxième alinéa de l’article 706-58.

Le procès-verbal d’audition de la personne ainsi que le procès-verbal prévu par le deuxième alinéa de l’article 706-58 et qui doit être versé dans le dossier distinct mentionnent le numéro d’ordre qui a été attribué à la personne.
