For the application of 1° and 2° of Article 706-53-5, the proof referred to in the first paragraph of Article R. 53-8-13 is delivered or sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the police station or gendarmerie brigade responsible for the person’s place of residence during the month of the anniversary of the person’s birth. If the civil status declared by the person concerned does not allow the month of birth to be determined or known, the document will be issued or sent during the month of January. When the person has elected domicile under the conditions provided for in article L. 264-1 of the Code de l’action sociale et des familles, the proof referred to in the second paragraph of article R. 53-8-13 is either delivered or sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the police station or territorial gendarmerie brigade responsible for the place where the person has taken up residence, or delivered to the police station or gendarmerie brigade closest to the place where the person is on the date on which this proof must be provided.
The proof shall also be given or sent within fifteen days of the date on which notification of the obligations was made or sent to the person, unless this notification occurs less than two months before the first day of the anniversary month of the person’s birth or unless the person concerned, due to a previous entry in the file, is already required to provide proof of address.
