Article R6113-11-3 of the French Public Health Code

The doctor in charge of the regional medical information department carries out the following tasks:

1° Preparing the decisions of the competent bodies of the participating establishments, referred to in article R. 6113-9, in order to ensure the completeness and quality of the data transmitted, by means of an action plan presented to the strategic committee of the regional hospital grouping;

2° Participating in the medico-economic analysis of these data, with a view to their use in the development and implementation of the establishment project of the participating establishments and the shared medical project, as well as the missions defined in article R. 6113-8 ;

3° To contribute to the implementation of provisions relating to the protection of patients’ personal medical data, under the conditions defined in article R. 6113-6 ;

4° Contribute to the clinical, epidemiological, health IT and medico-economic research work of the establishments that are part of the groupement hospitalier de territoire.

Le médecin responsable du département d’information médicale de territoire assure les missions suivantes :

1° Préparer les décisions des instances compétentes des établissements parties, mentionnées à l’article R. 6113-9, afin d’assurer l’exhaustivité et la qualité des données transmises, au travers d’un plan d’action présenté devant le comité stratégique du groupement hospitalier de territoire ;

2° Participer à l’analyse médico-économique de ces données, en vue de permettre leur utilisation dans le cadre de l’élaboration et de la mise en œuvre du projet d’établissement des établissements parties et du projet médical partagé, ainsi que des missions définies à l’article R. 6113-8 ;

3° Contribuer à la mise en œuvre des dispositions relatives à la protection des données médicales nominatives des patients, dans les conditions définies à l’article R. 6113-6 ;

4° Contribuer aux travaux de recherche clinique, épidémiologique, informatique de santé et médico-économique des établissements parties au groupement hospitalier de territoire.
