Article R612-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The patent application shall comprise a request for the grant of a patent, the model for which shall be laid down by decision of the Director General of the Institut national de la propriété industrielle and to which shall be annexed:

1° A description of the invention, accompanied, where appropriate, by drawings;

2° One or more claims;

3° An abstract of the technical content of the invention;

4° Where appropriate, a copy of earlier filings, elements of which are included under the conditions provided for in Article L. 612-3; the elements included are highlighted.

Article R612-3

La demande de brevet comprend une requête en délivrance de brevet dont le modèle est fixé par décision du directeur général de l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle et à laquelle sont annexés :

1° Une description de l’invention, accompagnée le cas échéant de dessins ;

2° Une ou plusieurs revendications ;

3° Un abrégé du contenu technique de l’invention ;

4° Le cas échéant, une copie des dépôts antérieurs dont des éléments sont repris dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 612-3 ; les éléments repris y sont mis en évidence.
