Article R613-53 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The National Patent Register is kept by the National Institute of Industrial Property.

Included therein, for each patent application or patent:

1° The identification of the applicant, and the references of the patent application or patent, as well as subsequent acts affecting its existence or scope;

2° Acts modifying the ownership of the patent application or patent or the enjoyment of the rights attached thereto; in the event of a claim of ownership : the corresponding summons as well as the suspension and resumption of the grant procedure;

3° Changes of name, legal form or address as well as rectifications of material errors affecting registrations.

No entry shall be made in the register until the patent application has been made public under the conditions provided for in article R. 612-39.

Article R613-53

Le Registre national des brevets est tenu par l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle.

Y figurent, pour chaque demande de brevet ou brevet :

1° L’identification du demandeur, et les références de la demande de brevet ou du brevet, ainsi que les actes ultérieurs en affectant l’existence ou la portée ;

2° Les actes modifiant la propriété de la demande de brevet ou du brevet ou la jouissance des droits qui lui sont attachés ; en cas de revendication de propriété : l’assignation correspondante ainsi que la suspension et la reprise de la procédure de délivrance ;

3° Les changements de nom, de forme juridique ou d’adresse ainsi que les rectifications d’erreurs matérielles affectant les inscriptions.

Aucune inscription n’est portée au registre tant que la demande de brevet n’est pas rendue publique dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 612-39.
