Article R613-56 of the French Intellectual Property Code

By way of derogation from 2° of Article R. 613-55, may be produced with the application:

1° In the event of a transfer by death, a copy of any deed establishing the transfer, at the request of the heirs or legatees;

2° In the event of a transfer following a merger, demerger or takeover: the unique identification number or, for operators located outside France, a copy of a document equivalent to the extract of registration in the Trade and Companies Register up to the date of the change;

3° Upon justification that it is materially impossible to produce a copy: any document establishing the change in ownership or use.

Article R613-56

Par dérogation au 2° de l’article R. 613-55, peut être produit avec la demande :

1° En cas de mutation par décès, copie de tout acte établissant le transfert, à la demande des héritiers ou légataires ;

2° En cas de transfert par suite de fusion, scission ou absorption : le numéro unique d’identification ou, pour les opérateurs situés hors de France, la copie d’un document équivalent à l’extrait d’immatriculation au registre du commerce et des sociétés à jour de la modification ;

3° Sur justification de l’impossibilité matérielle de produire une copie : tout document établissant la modification de la propriété ou de la jouissance.
