Article R6147-6 of the French Public Health Code

After consultation with the Executive Board, the Chief Executive Officer shall set up, either within a group of hospitals or within a hospital:

1° A local hospital medical committee ;

2° (Repealed)

3° A local nursing, rehabilitation and medico-technical care committee.

The composition and operating procedures of the local representative bodies mentioned in 1° and 3° are set by the establishment’s internal regulations, with reference to the rules governing the composition of the establishment’s medical committee, on the one hand, and the nursing, re-education and medico-technical care committee, on the other.

Le directeur général institue, après concertation avec le directoire, soit au sein d’un groupement d’hôpitaux, soit au sein d’un hôpital :

1° Une commission médicale d’établissement locale ;

2° (Abrogé)

3° Une commission des soins infirmiers, de rééducation et médico-techniques locale.

La composition et les modalités de fonctionnement des instances représentatives locales mentionnées aux 1° et 3° sont fixées par le règlement intérieur de l’établissement, par référence aux règles de composition de la commission médicale d’établissement, d’une part, de la commission des soins infirmiers, de rééducation et médico-techniques d’autre part.
