Article R6147-96 of the French Public Health Code

The Director manages the establishment’s affairs other than those which fall within the remit of the Board of Directors mentioned in article R. 6147-95.

The Director is assisted by a seven-member Executive Board, which he chairs and which includes, in addition to himself :

1° The president of the establishment’s medical commission, vice-president ;

2° The chairman of the nursing, re-education and medico-technical care committee;

3° The Director of Social Life and Integration;

4° The head of the supervisory staff of the establishment’s social units;

5° A member of the medical, pharmaceutical, odontological and midwifery professions appointed by the director on the recommendation of the chairman of the establishment’s medical commission;

6° An executive appointed by the director.

Le directeur règle les affaires de l’établissement autres que celles qui relèvent de la compétence du conseil d’administration mentionnée à l’article R. 6147-95.

Le directeur est assisté d’un directoire de sept membres, qu’il préside, et qui comprend, outre lui-même :

1° Le président de la commission médicale d’établissement, vice-président ;

2° Le président de la commission des soins infirmiers, de rééducation et médico-technique ;

3° Le directeur de la vie sociale et de l’insertion ;

4° Le responsable des personnels de surveillance des unités sociales de l’établissement ;

5° Un membre appartenant aux professions médicale, pharmaceutique, odontologique, maïeutique nommé par le directeur sur proposition du président de la commission médicale d’établissement ;

6° Un cadre de direction nommé par le directeur.
