Practitioners who do not meet the conditions indicated in 1° and 2° of article R. 6152-602, but who have completed their medical, odontological or pharmaceutical studies and who, in addition, meet the diploma, qualification and training conditions laid down by joint order of the ministers responsible for health and higher education, may be recruited as associate practitioners.
Associate practitioners take part in the activities of the public health establishment under the direct responsibility of the head of the structure to which they are assigned or one of his medical, surgical, odontological or pharmaceutical collaborators. In this capacity, they may perform routine medical or pharmaceutical procedures.
They may be called upon to collaborate in the continuity of care and pharmaceutical duty organised on site, in support of the department’s medical staff statutorily authorised to participate in the continuity of care and pharmaceutical duty and under their responsibility. They are not authorised to act as replacements.
Under the conditions set out in the previous two paragraphs, they may be called upon to respond to exceptional and urgent hospital needs that arise outside the scope of their duties.
The provisions of the first paragraph apply until 31 December 2022.
