Article R6153-51 of the French Public Health Code

During hospital placements, organised within the university hospital centres to which they are attached, army hospitals or health establishments linked by agreement to these university hospital centres, medical students participate in hospital activities.

These placements are carried out under the responsibility of the placement referent doctors appointed by the person in charge of teaching at the placement site or, where applicable, under the responsibility of the practitioner in charge of the host entity, in accordance with the procedures laid down by order of the ministers responsible for higher education, health and, where applicable, defence.

Durant les stages hospitaliers, organisés au sein des centres hospitaliers universitaires de rattachement, des hôpitaux des armées ou des établissements de santé liés par convention à ces centres hospitaliers universitaires, les étudiants hospitaliers en médecine participent à l’activité hospitalière.

Ces stages sont accomplis sous la responsabilité des médecins référents de stage désignés par le responsable pédagogique du lieu de stage ou, le cas échéant, sous la responsabilité du praticien responsable de l’entité d’accueil, selon des modalités prévues par arrêté des ministres chargés de l’enseignement supérieur, de la santé, et, le cas échéant, de la défense.
