Article R621-13 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The financial year begins on 1 January and ends on 31 December.

The Board shall adopt the budget of the Autorité des marchés financiers each year before the beginning of the financial year. The budget shall include estimates of the revenue expected and the expenditure required to perform the tasks entrusted to the Autorité des marchés financiers. It may be amended during the year. The appropriations entered in the budget shall not be limited.

Before the Board deliberates on the budget, the Chairman shall obtain the opinion of the Chairman of the Enforcement Committee on the resources allocated to its operation.

The College’s decisions on the budget and amendments thereto are automatically enforceable at the end of the period within which the Director General of the Treasury may request a second vote.

L’exercice budgétaire et comptable débute le 1er janvier et s’achève le 31 décembre.

Le collège arrête le budget de l’Autorité des marchés financiers chaque année avant le début de l’exercice. Le budget comporte la prévision des recettes attendues et des dépenses nécessitées par l’exercice des missions confiées à l’Autorité des marchés financiers. Il peut être modifié en cours d’année. Les crédits inscrits au budget n’ont pas de caractère limitatif.

Avant que le collège ne délibère sur le budget, le président recueille l’avis du président de la commission des sanctions sur les moyens affectés à son fonctionnement.

Les délibérations du collège relatives au budget et à ses modifications sont exécutoires de plein droit à l’issue du délai dont dispose le directeur général du Trésor pour demander une seconde délibération.
