When, following the consultations provided for in article R. 621-7, the State which granted long-term resident – EU status withdraws the right to stay in its territory, the administrative authority, after notifying the person concerned of this decision to withdraw the right to stay, enforces the removal decision. In this case, if the foreign national has been placed under house arrest or in detention in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of article R. 621-7, this measure may continue, under the same conditions and according to the same procedures, for the purposes of enforcing the removal decision.
However, if the foreign national whose long-term resident status – EU is withdrawn has previously been recognised as a refugee or granted the benefit of subsidiary protection by one of the Member States of the European Union, the Republic of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Kingdom of Norway or the Swiss Confederation, he or she shall be handed over to the authorities of that State pursuant to article L. 621-4, after verification with that State that the foreign national remains under its protection.
