The medical biology examination report is structured in accordance with the interoperability reference framework known as the “medical biology examination report component”, adopted in application of the fourth paragraph of Article L. 1111-8. The medical biologist is identified and authenticated in accordance with the standards mentioned in the same paragraph. This structured report is produced, stored and exchanged electronically in accordance with the interoperability and security guidelines laid down by the Minister for Health after consultation with the public interest group for the development of shared health information systems referred to in Article L. 1111-24.
When the medical biology test report is sent to the prescriber electronically, the exchange is carried out using a secure electronic health messaging system. Where it contributes to the coordination of care, the medical biology test report is included in the personal medical file referred to in Article L. 1111-14.
