Article R6213-7-1 of the French Public Health Code

When the Minister for Defence so requests, the Minister for Health may, after obtaining the opinion of the National Medical Biology Commission, in its formation provided for in Article R. 6213-19, individually authorise the persons mentioned in 4° of Article L. 6213-2 who do not meet the conditions laid down in Article L. 6213-1 or in 1° of Article L. 6213-2 to practise as medical biologists. 6213-2 who do not meet the conditions laid down in Article L. 6213-1 or in 1° of Article L. 6213-2.

Authorisation to practise may only be granted to persons who hold either a doctorate in medicine or a university doctorate, or an engineering degree in a field relevant to the area of specialisation in biology concerned.

The authorisation to practise is granted in the area of specialisation of the laboratory concerned, for the period limited to the assignment of the doctor or pharmacist.

Article R6213-7-1

Lorsque le ministre de la défense en fait la demande, le ministre chargé de la santé peut, après avis de la commission nationale de biologie médicale, dans sa formation prévue à l’article R. 6213-19, autoriser individuellement à exercer en qualité de biologiste médical les personnes mentionnées au 4° de l’article L. 6213-2 qui ne remplissent pas les conditions fixées à l’article L. 6213-1 ou au 1° de l’article L. 6213-2.

L’autorisation d’exercice ne peut être accordée qu’aux personnes titulaires soit d’un doctorat d’exercice ou d’université, soit d’un diplôme d’ingénieur dans un domaine pertinent par rapport au domaine de spécialisation de la biologie concerné.

L’autorisation d’exercice est accordée dans le domaine de spécialisation du laboratoire concerné, pour la période limitée à l’affectation du médecin ou du pharmacien.
