Article R622-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Topographies of semiconductor products shall be filed with the National Institute of Industrial Property or sent to it by post or by any means of teletransmission under the conditions defined by decision of its Director General. Their filing date is that of receipt at the Institute’s headquarters.

The Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property may require filing in electronic form where this is likely to facilitate the examination and publication of topographies of semiconductor products.

The Institute shall provide assistance to applicants by any appropriate means, specified by decision of its Director General.

Les topographies de produits semi-conducteurs sont déposées à l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle ou y sont envoyées par pli postal ou par tout mode de télétransmission dans les conditions définies par décision de son directeur général. Leur date de dépôt est celle de la réception au siège de l’institut.

Le directeur général de l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle peut imposer un dépôt sous forme électronique lorsque cette modalité est de nature à faciliter l’examen et la publication des topographies de produits semi-conducteurs.

L’institut apporte une assistance aux déposants par tout moyen approprié, précisé par décision de son directeur général.
