Article R622-2 of the French Intellectual Property Code

A deposit may relate to only one topography.

It comprises:

1° A declaration of deposit containing sufficient information to identify the applicant, the topography and the date and place of its first exploitation or, failing that, the date on which it was first fixed or coded ;

2° A graphic representation of the topography, inserted in a fold, in which those parts have been masked which the applicant intends not to be disclosed to third parties; this representation may be accompanied by an information medium and specimens of the product incorporating the topography;

3° Proof of payment of the fee.

The model of the filing declaration as well as the material specifications that the representation of the topography and the envelope in which it is inserted must meet shall be laid down by decision of the Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property.

Un dépôt ne peut porter que sur une seule topographie.

Il comprend :

1° Une déclaration de dépôt contenant des renseignements suffisants pour identifier le déposant, la topographie et la date et le lieu de sa première exploitation ou, à défaut, la date à laquelle elle a été fixée ou codée pour la première fois ;

2° Une représentation graphique de la topographie, insérée dans un pli, dans laquelle ont été masquées les parties dont le déposant entend qu’elles ne soient pas communiquées aux tiers ; cette représentation peut être accompagnée d’un support d’informations et de spécimens de produit incorporant la topographie ;

3° La justification du paiement de la redevance.

Le modèle de la déclaration de dépôt ainsi que les spécifications matérielles auxquelles doivent répondre la représentation de la topographie et le pli dans lequel elle est insérée sont fixés par décision du directeur général de l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle.
