The provisions of this section govern the sociétés coopératives de biologistes médicaux incorporated pursuant to law no. 47-1775 of 10 September 1947 on the status of cooperatives. These companies are known as “sociétés coopératives de biologistes médicaux”.
The purpose of medical biologists’ cooperative societies is to operate a medical biology laboratory and to facilitate the practice of the profession of medical biologist by its members by pooling the resources required for this practice.
Where it is stipulated in the articles of association that the share capital is variable, these companies are also subject to the provisions of articles L. 231-1 to L. 231-8 of the French Commercial Code.
