Support in validating prior learning is offered on the basis of the candidate’s needs. These are determined with the candidate, particularly in the light of any additional training recommended by the ministry or certifying body once the admissibility of the application has been examined. It comprises a basic module consisting of methodological assistance in describing the candidate’s activities and experience in line with the requirements of the reference framework for the qualification in question, in formalising the validation file, in preparing for the interview with the selection board and, where applicable, in the work placement.

Support may also include

1° Assistance in finding further training, corresponding to the compulsory training required or to the apprenticeships linked to the exercise of activities missing from the candidate’s career path and corresponding to an identified part of the qualification’s reference framework;

2° Seeking funding to cover the cost of this training.

In this case, the body responsible for this support may draw on the proposals of a representative of one of the bodies mentioned in the fourth paragraph ofarticle L. 6111-6.

L’accompagnement à la validation des acquis de l’expérience est proposé en fonction des besoins du candidat. Ceux-ci sont déterminés avec le candidat, notamment en fonction des formations complémentaires recommandées, le cas échéant, par le ministère ou l’organisme certificateur au terme de l’examen de la recevabilité de sa demande. Il comprend un module de base composé d’une aide méthodologique à la description des activités et de l’expérience du candidat correspondant aux exigences du référentiel de la certification visée, à la formalisation de son dossier de validation, à la préparation de l’entretien avec le jury et le cas échéant à la mise en situation professionnelle.

L’accompagnement peut également comprendre :

1° Une assistance à l’orientation vers une formation complémentaire, correspondant aux formations obligatoires requises ou aux apprentissages liés à l’exercice d’activité manquante dans le parcours du candidat et correspondant à une partie identifiée du référentiel de la certification ;

2° La recherche de financement pour la prise en charge de cette formation.

Dans ce cas, l’organisme chargé de cet accompagnement peut s’appuyer sur les propositions d’un représentant d’un des organismes mentionnés au quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 6111-6.
