The trade mark shall be represented in the national trade mark register in an appropriate form by means of commonly available technology, provided that it can be represented in that register in a clear, precise, distinct, easily accessible, intelligible, durable and objective manner.
This representation may be accompanied by a description provided that it corresponds to the representation of the trade mark and does not extend the scope of protection.
Where the trade mark falls within one of the types of trade marks defined by decision of the Director General of the Institut national de la propriété industrielle, it shall be accompanied by an indication which corresponds to the representation of the trade mark.
The representation of the trade mark cannot be validly ensured by the filing of a sample or specimen.
The arrangements for the representation of the trade mark shall be specified by decision of the Director General of the Institute.
