The medical examination prior to the child’s employment is carried out by a paediatrician or by a general practitioner or by an occupational physician from the interprofessional occupational health service specialising in occupational medicine for performing artists and technicians mentioned in article R. 7124-6, in accordance with the procedures laid down by order of the Minister responsible for health.
It shows whether, given the child’s age and state of health, the child is able to carry out the activity without compromising his or her health or development.
This examination is repeated every three months for children aged under three, every six months for those aged between three and six and every year for those aged over six.
If the doctor’s opinion is negative, the child cannot be employed.
