Where a time limit is expressed in days, the day of the act, event, decision or notification which causes it to run shall not count.
Where a time limit is expressed in months or years, the time limit shall expire on the day of the last month or year which bears the same number as the day of the act, event, decision or notification which causes the time limit to run. If there is no identical date, the period expires on the last day of the month.
Where a period is expressed in months and days, the months are counted first, then the days.
Any time limit shall expire on the last day at twenty-four hours.
A time limit which would normally expire on a Saturday, Sunday or public or bank holiday shall be extended until the first working day thereafter.
