Article R741-12 of the French Commercial code

The organisation of the elections is entrusted to the office of the National Council which, before 15 September, sets the date for the opening of the ballot in the second fortnight of November preceding the date of the partial renewal of the National Council and ensures that it is publicised. As soon as this date has been set, the President shall notify the electors of the date and procedures for the electoral operations, as well as the date and place of the counting operations.

L’organisation des élections est confiée au bureau du Conseil national qui, avant le 15 septembre, fixe la date d’ouverture du scrutin dans la deuxième quinzaine du mois de novembre précédant la date du renouvellement partiel du Conseil national et en assure la publicité. Dès cette fixation, le président avise les électeurs de la date et des modalités des opérations électorales, ainsi que de la date et du lieu des opérations de dépouillement.
