Article R743-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

For the application of articles L. 743-3 to L. 743-18, the competent liberties and detention judge is that of the judicial court within whose jurisdiction the foreign national is held in detention or assigned to residence.
However, the liberties and detention judge competent to rule on the continued detention of a foreign national in the case provided for in article L. 742-6 is that of the Paris judicial court. This judge remains competent until the end of the procedure.

Article R743-1

Pour l’application des articles L. 743-3 à L. 743-18, le juge des libertés et de la détention compétent est celui du tribunal judiciaire dans le ressort duquel l’étranger est maintenu en rétention ou assigné à résidence.
Toutefois, le juge des libertés et de la détention compétent pour statuer sur le maintien en rétention d’un étranger dans le cas prévu à l’article L. 742-6 est celui du tribunal judiciaire de Paris. Ce juge reste compétent jusqu’au terme de la procédure.
