Article R8124-32 of the French Labour Code

Without prejudice to the powers of the ethics officer provided for in article 28 bis of the aforementioned Act of 13 July 1983, employees involved in labour inspection activities may refer to the Conseil national de l’inspection du travail (National Labour Inspection Council) any action taken by an administrative authority that is likely to directly and personally undermine the conditions in which they must be able to carry out their duties.

Les agents participant aux activités de contrôle de l’inspection du travail peuvent, sans préjudice des attributions du référent déontologue prévu à l’article 28 bis de la loi du 13 juillet 1983 précitée, saisir le Conseil national de l’inspection du travail de tout acte d’une autorité administrative de nature à porter directement et personnellement atteinte aux conditions dans lesquelles il doit pouvoir exercer sa mission.
