Article 1121 of the French Code of civil procedure

The procedures for appointing and the conduct of the assignment of the notary appointed pursuant to 10° of Article 255 of the Civil Code are subject to the provisions of articles 233 to 237, 239, 245, 264 to 267, 273, 275, 276 and 278 to 280 of this code, without prejudice to the rules applicable to his profession.

If the notary draws up the deed of partition, he reports it to the judge.

Les modalités de désignation ainsi que le déroulement de la mission du notaire désigné en application du 10° de l’article 255 du code civil sont soumis aux dispositions des articles 233 à 237, 239, 245, 264 à 267, 273, 275, 276 et 278 à 280 du présent code, sans préjudice des règles applicables à sa profession.

Si le notaire établit l’acte de partage, il en fait rapport au juge.
