Article 1208-1 of the French Code of civil procedure

The file may be consulted at the court registry, up until the day before the hearing, by the applicant, the parents, the guardian, the person or service to whom the child has been entrusted or their lawyers if they are assisted or represented. The lawyer may obtain copies of all or part of the documents in the case file for the exclusive use of the proceedings. He may not communicate the copies obtained or their reproduction to his client.

Le dossier peut être consulté au greffe, jusqu’à la veille de l’audience, par le requérant, les parents, le tuteur, la personne ou le service à qui l’enfant a été confié ou leurs avocats s’ils sont assistés ou représentés. L’avocat peut se faire délivrer copie de tout ou partie des pièces du dossier pour l’usage exclusif de la procédure. Il ne peut communiquer les copies obtenues ou leur reproduction à son client.
