For the application of the article 511 of the Civil Code, where the protected person’s resources allow and the director of the registry considers it useful, the latter may request, at the protected person’s expense, the assistance of a bailiff in his task of verifying the accounts. The protected person and the person appointed to exercise the protection measure are informed of this by any means; they may refer this decision to the guardianship judge, who will rule on the request in an order that is not subject to appeal. The judicial officer may consult all the documents relating to the accounts contained in the protected person’s file, at the registry of the court that holds it, without any restriction other than the requirements of the service, and keep the copies necessary for the performance of his mission, but may not communicate them to a third party.
