Article 1261 of the French Code of civil procedure

Notwithstanding the provisions of article 1242, appeals against the deliberations of the family council of wards of the State shall be lodged by petition signed by a lawyer and delivered or sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to the registry of the court of appeal.

The procedure provided for in articles 1244 to 1245-1 shall apply.

Article 1261

Par dérogation aux dispositions de l’article 1242, le recours contre les délibérations du conseil de famille des pupilles de l’Etat est formé par requête signée par un avocat et remise ou adressée par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception au greffe de la cour d’appel.

La procédure prévue aux articles 1244 à 1245-1 est applicable.
