Where there is no known successor and the tenancy agreement has ended, the president of the judicial court or his delegate may authorise, under the conditions provided for in the first paragraph of article 1325, the owner of the premises to have the furniture removed and either deposited in another location or confined to a part of the premises that was occupied by the deceased. The costs of removing and preserving the furniture shall be advanced by the owner.
The bailiff shall attend the removal of the furniture and draw up a report of the operations.
If seals had been affixed, he shall remove them and then re-apply them to the premises in which the furniture is deposited or confined, under the conditions set out in article 1322.
When a descriptive statement had been drawn up, the bailiff ensures the closure of the premises where the furniture is deposited or confined and keeps the keys.
