The president of the investigating division, and in courts where there are several investigating divisions, one of the presidents specially appointed by the general assembly, exercises the specific powers defined in the following articles.
If this president is unable to act, his or her specific powers are assigned, by deliberation of the general assembly of the court of appeal, to a judge belonging to the said court.
The president may delegate all or part of his powers to a judge of the investigating chamber and, in courts where there are several investigating chambers, to a judge of another investigating chamber with the agreement of the president of that chamber.
