Article 222-12 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

For the distribution of an audiovisual work that has received automatic or selective financial support for audiovisual production, the decision to award automatic financial support is taken after consulting the approval committee, taking into account the size of the distribution expenses mentioned in 2° of article 222-9 which are incurred for the work in question and its selection at an international film festival.

Pour la distribution d’une œuvre audiovisuelle ayant bénéficié d’une aide financière automatique ou sélective à la production audiovisuelle, la décision d’attribution d’une aide financière automatique est prise après avis de la commission d’agrément, en tenant compte de l’importance des dépenses de distribution mentionnées au 2° de l’article 222-9 qui sont engagées pour l’œuvre considérée et de sa sélection dans un festival cinématographique international.
