The sums representing the automatic financial aid to which distribution companies are entitled are calculated in accordance with the provisions of this subsection.

The sums representing the automatic financial aid to which distribution companies are entitled are calculated in accordance with the provisions of this subsection.
The sums are calculated on the basis of the commercial representation in cinemas of the cinematographic works mentioned in articles 222-7 and 222-8 and for which distribution approval has been granted. When two companies are responsible for the distribution of the same film, the sums are entered in the automatic cinema distribution account of only one of these companies in consideration of the specific stipulations of the co-distribution contract.
For programmes consisting of cinematographic works fixed on 70 mm film as defined in article D. 210-1 du code du cinéma et de l’image animée, the sums are entered in proportion to the duration of each of these works.
The sums entered in the automatic cinema distribution account may be invested with a view to contributing, through the payment of advances, to the financing of the production of long-term cinematographic works for which investment approval has been granted. However, these sums may not be invested in long-term cinematographic works produced by production companies that have not been eligible for production aid in application of article 211-19.

The investment by distribution companies of the sums registered in their automatic cinema distribution account is subject to the issue of a distribution authorisation.
