Article 222-26 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The direct allocation must be repaid:
1° In the event of non-compliance with the conditions of allocation or payment;
2° When the gross receipts of exploitation accruing to the distribution company at the end of a period of six months from the date of theatrical release of the work concerned, after deduction of a lump sum corresponding to 25% of these receipts, exceed the amount of the final distribution expenses.
No direct allocation may be allocated or paid to a distribution company to which a request for repayment has been sent until the requested repayment has been made.

L’allocation directe donne lieu à reversement :
1° En cas de non-respect des conditions d’attribution ou de versement ;
2° Lorsque les recettes brutes d’exploitation revenant à l’entreprise de distribution à l’issue d’un délai de six mois à compter de la date de sortie en salles de l’œuvre concernée, après déduction d’une somme forfaitaire correspondant à 25 % de ces recettes, excèdent le montant des dépenses définitives de distribution.
Aucune allocation directe ne peut être attribuée ou versée à une entreprise de distribution à laquelle une demande de reversement a été adressée tant que celle-ci n’a pas procédé au reversement demandé.
