In the event of serious professional misconduct or a serious breach of honour or probity by one of the persons mentioned in article 224 affecting the person’s ability to carry out judicial police duties, the president of the investigating chamber, on a referral from the public prosecutor at the court of appeal in whose jurisdiction the person usually carries out his duties, may, without prejudice to any administrative disciplinary sanctions that may be imposed, immediately decide that the person may not carry out his judicial police duties for a maximum period of one month.
This decision takes effect immediately. It shall be notified, at the Attorney General’s instigation, to the authorities to which the person belongs.
A referral to the President of the Investigating Chamber by the Public Prosecutor pursuant to the first paragraph of this Article shall constitute a referral to the Investigating Chamber under the first paragraph of Article 225.
