Article 2501 of the French Civil Code

For the application of article 524, are subject to the regime of immovables by destination, when they have been placed by the owner for the service and exploitation of the land, the fish of bodies of water having no communication with watercourses, canals and streams and the fish of fish farms and fish ponds.

Pour l’application de l’article 524, sont soumis au régime des immeubles par destination, quand ils ont été placés par le propriétaire pour le service et l’exploitation du fonds, les poissons des plans d’eau n’ayant aucune communication avec les cours d’eau, canaux et ruisseaux et les poissons des piscicultures et enclos piscicoles.
