Article 253 of the French Code of civil procedure

The report is submitted to the court registry. An official report is drawn up of the findings presented orally. However, the drafting of the report may be replaced by a mention in the judgment if the case is immediately judged at last instance. The documents supporting the findings are attached to the case file.

The documents must be submitted to the court clerk.

Le constat est remis au greffe de la juridiction. Il est dressé procès-verbal des constatations présentées oralement. La rédaction du procès-verbal peut toutefois être suppléée par une mention dans le jugement si l’affaire est immédiatement jugée en dernier ressort. Sont joints au dossier de l’affaire les documents à l’appui des constatations.
