The coefficients applicable to works in the animation genre are determined as follows:
I.-The works are divided into two groups:
1° First group: works with French hourly expenditure of €350,000 or more;
2° Second group: works with French hourly expenditure of less than €350,000 and more than €122,000.
II – The coefficients applied to the duration of the works are as follows:
1° First group: 3.7;
2° Second group: the coefficient varies between 3.7 and 1.3 in proportion to the amount of French hourly expenditure. This coefficient is rounded to four decimal places.
III -The coefficients provided for in II are increased by 20% when works cumulatively obtain a minimum of 30 points for the “Creation” group and a minimum of 36 points for the “Production” group on the scale provided for in A or B depending on the conditions in which the work was produced.
A.-For works other than those produced using computer-generated images, a scale of 100 points is established, divided into a “Creation” group and a “Production” group as follows:
1° “Creation” group :
literary bible: 5 points;
-graphic bible: 5 points;
-scenario: 9 points;
-writing direction: 2 points;
-directing: 7 points;
-musical composition: 3 points;
-scenarimage: 9 points;
2° “Production” group:
reference sets: 5 points;
-character development: 5 points;
-animation and set design: 10 points;
-animation: 20 points;

-sound post-production: 5 points.
B.-For works produced using computer-generated images, a scale of 100 points is established, divided into a “Creation” group and a “Production” group as follows:
1° “Creation” group :
literary bible: 5 points;
-graphic bible: 5 points;
-scenario: 9 points;
-writing direction: 2 points;
-directing: 7 points;
-musical composition: 3 points;
-scenarimage: 9 points;
2° “Production” group:
-set modelling: 5 points;
-character modelling: 5 points;

-animation: 20 points;
-rendering and lighting: 8 points;
-digital assembly and special effects: 8 points;
-image post-production: 5 points;
-sound post-production: 5 points.
C.-Works in which all of the scripts are written and recorded in the original French-language version are awarded five additional points, which are allocated in full to one or other of the two groups in order to reach the minimum number of points required.
D.-For the application of the scales, points are awarded if the works are produced with the assistance of:
1° Authors, performers, technical creative collaborators, technical collaborators responsible for the preparation and production of the animation who are French nationals or assimilated.
The contract concluded with the above-mentioned authors, performers and technicians designates French law as the applicable law.
2° Companies carrying out preparation, production and post-production work, including special effects, established in France.
When only some of the people meet the conditions set out in 1° or only some of the companies meet the condition set out in 2°, a pro rata is applied for the award of points other than those relating to the literary bible, the graphic bible and musical composition, calculated according to the percentage of people or companies meeting the aforementioned conditions. For series, this prorata is calculated on the basis of the number of episodes for which the above conditions are met and, where applicable, on the basis of the percentage of persons or companies meeting these conditions per episode. Account may also be taken of the nature of the jobs, the duration of the commitments and the amount of the salaries.
IV – Expenditure relating to the acquisition of rights to adapt a pre-existing work is taken into account as French hourly expenditure up to a limit of €10,000 per hour.
