Article 311-77 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

For works belonging to the genre of audiovisual adaptation of a live performance involving exceptional groupings of artists for a particular performance or consisting of the compilation of extracts from several live performances, automatic financial assistance shall be awarded after consulting the specialised committee responsible for awarding selective grants, in order to ensure the heritage vocation of these works.
Automatic financial assistance may only be awarded for a single audiovisual adaptation of the same live performance by the same artist in the same year. It may only be awarded for a second adaptation after the specialist committee responsible for awarding selective grants has given its opinion, taking into consideration the coherence and ambition of the artist’s repertoire, the originality of the artistic brief and the shooting set-up, as well as the ambition of the production.

Pour les œuvres appartenant au genre adaptation audiovisuelle de spectacle vivant portant sur des regroupements exceptionnels d’artistes pour une prestation particulière ou consistant dans la compilation d’extraits de plusieurs spectacles vivants, les aides financières automatiques sont attribuées après avis de la commission spécialisée compétente pour l’attribution des aides sélectives, afin de s’assurer de la vocation patrimoniale de ces œuvres.
Les aides financières automatiques ne peuvent être attribuées que pour une seule adaptation audiovisuelle d’un même spectacle vivant interprété par le même artiste au cours d’une même année. Elles ne peuvent être attribuées pour une deuxième adaptation qu’après avis de la commission spécialisée compétente pour l’attribution des aides sélectives, en considération de la cohérence et de l’ambition du répertoire de l’artiste, de l’originalité du dossier artistique et du dispositif de tournage, ainsi que de l’ambition de réalisation.
