Article 311-86 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The granting of aid, the principle of which has been accepted, is subject to the issue of authorisations.
Prior authorisation is issued before the work is completed. It sets out the terms and conditions for payment of the grant.
A final authorisation is issued once the work has been completed. This authorisation constitutes the final decision to award the grant. It establishes, where applicable, eligibility for the bonuses or increases provided for in articles 311-44,311-49 and 311-51.

Article 311-86

L’attribution d’une aide dont le principe a été retenu est subordonnée à la délivrance d’autorisations.
Une autorisation préalable est délivrée avant achèvement de l’œuvre. Elle prévoit les modalités de versement de l’aide.
Une autorisation définitive est délivrée après achèvement de l’œuvre. Cette autorisation constitue la décision d’attribution à titre définitif de l’aide. Elle constate, le cas échéant, l’admission au bénéfice des bonifications ou des majorations prévues aux articles 311-44,311-49 et 311-51.
