Paragraph 2: Award procedure and conditions

The granting of aid is subject to an initial decision taken after consulting the relevant specialised committee.This decision establishes the principle of granting aid and sets the amount. It is taken before any payment is made.

To obtain a decision in principle, the application must be submitted at least one month before the date of the committee meeting at which the production company wishes its application to be examined.

For prior authorisation, the application must be submitted at least one month before the end of the shooting or, for works in the animation genre, at least one month before the end of the production of the animation.For works composed entirely of pre-existing images, the application must be submitted at least one month before the start of editing.

For final authorisation, the application must be submitted no later than four months after completion of the work. This deadline is extended to six months when the final cost of the work must be certified by an auditor, and in the case of an international co-production.
