Article 370 of the French Code of civil procedure

As from the notification made to the other party, the proceedings are interrupted by:

– the death of a party in cases where the action is transmissible;

– the cessation of functions of the legal representative of a minor and of the person responsible for the legal protection of a person of full age;

– the recovery or loss by a party of the capacity to institute legal proceedings.

Article 370

A compter de la notification qui en est faite à l’autre partie, l’instance est interrompue par :

– le décès d’une partie dans les cas où l’action est transmissible ;

– la cessation de fonctions du représentant légal d’un mineur et de la personne chargée de la protection juridique d’un majeur ;

– le recouvrement ou la perte par une partie de la capacité d’ester en justice.
