Article 390 ter of the French Customs Code

The administration may, taking into account the economic and social situation of the debtor, his good faith and the circumstances that led to the late payment, grant total or partial remission of the sums due in respect of the late payment interest referred to in article 440 bis and the increases provided for in this code.

Article 390 ter

L’administration peut, en prenant en compte la situation économique et sociale du débiteur, sa bonne foi et les circonstances ayant conduit au retard de paiement, accorder des remises totales ou partielles des sommes dues au titre de l’intérêt de retard mentionné à l’article 440 bis ainsi que des majorations prévues par le présent code.
